    Hi Cacrocetti,

To Download Pre-Installed Software for Your New Dell Computer, click on the http://bit.ly/RHXoaj and follow the steps once you finish registering the system.

For any driver related queries click on the link http://dell.to/1nAL210 to download the drivers by selecting the version of Operating System.

Note: Please open the link on Internet Explorer.

The most important software, Microsoft Windows 8.1 cannot be downloaded with an OEM license because Microsoft failed to provide a .iso and prevent Dell from providing one. You hence will be missing the OS from my Dell downloads.

If you reside in the US or CA you can request a Windows 8.1 Reinstallation DVD/USB from Dell using the online media request form:

    www.dell.com/recoverymedia

I recommend the DVD even if your system has an optical drive because the Reinstallation USB contains McAfee and preinstalled software and is hence contaminated.

The Windows 8.1 Reinstallation DVD can be converted to a Reinstallation USB for clean installation by following the instructions here:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/a-clean-install-of-windows/converting-your-dell-windows-reinstallation-dvd-into-a-reinstallation-usb/

If you are outside the US or CA you will need to phone Dell Technical Support (best to do so while you have active warranty).

Be warned, software you purchase (i.e. MS Office) is not in the download area.  So if Dell tells you the activation code is 'in the box' and it's not…you are out of luck….neither Dell nor MS can help you.
