microsoft office student lost product key
I received my laptop in 2008 and i had to swipe the whole system and no longer have the envelope for the product key. how can i get the product key?

You can't. Dell does not keep records of optional software product keys such as this. If you don't have it, you are out of luck and will have to purchase a new copy.
An alternate is the free Open Office suite of programs that are compatible with MS Office. www.openoffice.org
