Speech Recognition
I have a Dell Dimension 4700 with Windows XP and Microsoft word 2003. Can some one tell me how to check if has speech recognition software installe ?? I think it does I assume if it does I need to go out and buy a microphone with what kind of connection ... Thanks Pat

Pat,
If you open Word, under the tools menu, you will see "Speech". Click on it, if you have it installed, it should start, if not, it will ask you to install from your Office CD's. Get a headset microphone, any should work. I use a Altec Lansing Stereo headset with microphone, model AHS30.
