Did you right click on the toolbar (Dell Alerts) and disabled it from starting (at startup)?1024

The Dell Support program is essentially useless. My suggestion is to just remove it.
Start/Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs
Find Dell Support in the list of installed applications and click Remove.

Good idea! However...
When I go to Add/Remove it asks for the Dell Support CD, which I either never had or simply can't find. I click on Cancel, then it continues, saying something like "preparing to uninstall", comes to a normal end. The Dell Support icon is gone from the list. Next day when I reboot, Dell Support is back again :smileymad:
Sounds like I need to escalate this issue. :smileywink: Anyone have the CEO's email address? :

Your experience is precisely why the first thing I do with a new Dell is to format the harddrive and install a clean copy of Windows. I have another suggestion for you:
/Start/Run/
- Type: msconfig
- click on the Startup tabThis is a list of the various services and applications that will run on boot. I'm not sure what the entry for Dell Support is called, or if it's even listed there. If you see an entry you know to be the Dell Support application, uncheck the box, hit OK, and reboot. Windows will now cease to run the app at startup.

Nothing listed in Startup that looks like Dell. Looked in Services, too, and don't see anything there either.

PLEASE can anyone give me simple directions for uninstalling "Dell Support Alerts"? My problem is that the Support Alerts window pops-up when I start my computer, slowing down the operation of the computer to an INSANE degree, and sometimes freezing when I try to close the Support Alerts window. I need NON-TECHNICAL advice on uninstalling this program.1026

detwiler12Try this Start- All programs -Dell Support click on Dell support in the drop down menu. Then uncheck Run on windows startup. Or you can click on Channels and disable everything. Good luck535

This should have worked:
Click Start- Settings- Control Panel- Add or Remove Programs
Select the Dell Support Tool you want removed and then click the Change/Remove button
The InstallShield Wizard dialog box, select the Remove check box
Click Next
If you get a window for "Remove Share Component", click "Yes to All"
If you get a window for "Remove Share File", click "Yes to All"
Click Yes
When finished, close all boxes
If it didn't, reinstall DST 3, restart, then try to remove it.
