1800MP - drivers for USB functions- "XP Pro - device unrecognized!!! Every time!
All, I recently purchased a 1800MP projector for work. Everything worked real well at first. I connected the USB cable for the remote functions, and at first all worked fine. Now every time I connect the USB cable, Windows says "device unrecognized, etc." Now I can't use the remote to control Power point, etc. on the PC!! Why is this happening? I am about to call Dell and return this projector as defective if someone cannot tell me what is wrong. I've tried uninstalling the unrecognized device through device manager, restarting, etc.. with no luck! Is there drivers for this functionality? I really need this to work. THANKS!!!!!

Nope, didn't change anything, no Windows updates, etc... The remote worked early in the day, then when I turned the projector off and back on, the PC stated "usb device unrecognized", same day! All I did was turn the projector off while the PC was on, then turned the PC back on. Since then I've tried restarting several times with and without the projector on or off! I'm going to try a new USB cable, then I'm going to have to call Dell.
Any other ideas?????

If it worked before and does now work now usually means you changed something on the PC. Did you recently do a windows update which would have loaded drivers? Did you recently install some software?
