- Hey I have a question for you. I have a Dell 2200MP projector that I have hooked to my Xbox, PS2, and GameCube. I love it. The only problem I have is that the color black doesnt show up well. No matter how I adjust it it looks way to dark.If I play a game that is dark like racing at night or Halo 2 in a dark map, I can barely see in the darker areas. I would like to know if you experience the same thing.ThanksRodney
- Yes I have the same problem.
Some say a good quality screen would help. Basically it's the contrast ratio on the projector. With a better contrast ratio your image wouldn't look so washed out. I always have to close my window, pull the blinds and the shades and bring up the contrast in night settings. It's a price to pay for such an inexpensive projector. mawmojojojo

I have the exact same issue, the best way to get around the Contrast issue is to change your gaming connection to S-video, of course the artifacts are increased, And the quality of the image is less,however, reducing the zoom can help with artifacting. The way I set mine up was with an s-video connection for Dark Games like Halo etc. and switching back to The HD (Component) connection for other Games. in component connection my brightness/contrast is set to 52, in my s-video connection my brightness is set lower and my contrast is set to 45 I hope this helps.John- Thanks for you help. You are correct with the S-video being brighter. I ordered a VGA adapter for my xbox from neoya I think, I will try that to see if it helps.Other then the darkness I love this projector (2200). I've had it since April 2004 and have put atleast 1500 hours into it with games and DVD. Best home entertainment item I've purchased.I love it.Rodney
