As of about the 13th generation of servers, Dell stopped presenting EOL and EOSL dates for the Poweredge lines. That being said, the coverage of each system is generally 5 years after the sale, or may be longer depending on part availability.

Systems with ProSupport goes over a period of 7years when speaking about support. After that is might be possible that you get "Post-Standard Support" which is hardware only and no software. The Basic supports only gets 5Y.
With the upcoming R570 the R550 will be go into EOS. There will always be a overlapping peroid of time where both modells are available. Again... last sold unit can have 7Y of support.
