D:\is not accessible. Incorrect function
PLeae help somebody! I am trying to DL a driver from the Dell site to a CD-R. I am unable to. I get a message that says..D:\is not accessible. Incorrect function. What am I doing wrong? I also DL'd the driver needed to my HD and tried to send it to a CD-R, and it wont let me do that either. I Ned the driver for an additional computer in my home. THanks for any help.

Having had the same problem you are experiencing, I found that updating to a newer version of Roxio EZ CD Creator solved the problem. If you have Roxio installed on your computer this may be the answer. When you look under "Properties" for your CD Drive are you showing a "Recording" Tab?

Any suggestions to solve the "D:\ is not accessible. Incorrect function." problem when you do not have Roxio installed? I have done two clean reinstallations of the operating system (W2K) and the problem returned both times.

Download to your hard drive then burn the files to your CDR disc.
You cannot download directly to a CDR disc.
Two ways to get it to a CDR disc are to use packet writting so as
to Drag and Drop it or to use your installed burning software and
burn it as data.
You did not say what model computer, Operating System, installed
CDRW drive or what burning software you are using.
