DVD for 5000e

Looking for recommendations:  Need to purchase a DVD player for Dell 5000e notebook running Win ME.  Currently has basic CD-ROM installed.   Will primarilly be using DVD to watch movies.  Also any thoughts on power adapters for use in automobiles.  Thanks!

    Thank you for using Dell's Community Forum.

    The only DVD drive that we (Dell) sell for that computer is part number 153YN (it’s an 8X DVD drive).

    Corey, I have searched but cannot locate a page on this DVD.  Where can I read about the specs on this drive?
