I am working on a Dell Inspiron i2200 notebook. The hard drive is not recognized by dell diagnostics or windows xp setup. I am under the assumption I need to replace the hard drive. I removed the four screws and tried to pull the drive out. It would not budge. I pulled so hard the tab looked like it was going to rip off. Next I decided I would open up the case to see what had it stuck. After removing the battery,dvd drive,keyboard and the display I tried to remove the palm rest. I couldn't remove it though because there are two screws under the hard drive I need to take out. I did get a clear look at the back of the drive and a fairly good look at one side. I couldn't see anything physically stuck. Anyone have any ideas where to go from here?
