Remove region code?

Is there a way to remove the region code from a Philips DVD+RW drive which came with an 8400?

Yes, there are ways to make a DVD drive "region free". It is a subject
that is forbidden by Dell for discussion here. We all agreed to this
when we accepted the Terms of Use of this Forum. But, if you were to do
a Google Search for "DVD region free" or something like that, you will
find what you seek. However, some of the methods you discover may void
the warranty on the drive.
