IT Assistant vs. OpenManage Management Station
I'm a bit new to OpenManage, so please help me out.
OpenManage Management Station that I just downloaded is at version 5.2.1 (OM_5.2.1_MgmtStat_A00.exe)
IT Assistant (OM-MgmtStat-Dell-Web-WIN-440_A00.exe) reports version 7.0, but report Version 4.4 of OpenManage Management Station.
Is IT assistant now defunct, or why the version differences?

How did you find those two downloads? If you picked a reasonably new system and looked under System Management, only the newer Management Station should show up. If you found it via search, then being able to find both is expected. Some older systems, such as PowerEdge 2400's, are not supported completely by the 5.2 Management Station, so we keep the older versions available.OMNavigator

The current related version of the OpenManage Management Station is v5.2.1; it includes OpenManage IT Assistant v8.0.2. It is available at:If you are upgrading from a previous version, you may choose the service pack for the above version. This is availabe at:Note:OpenManage Management Station Application = [OpenManage IT Assistant + BMC Management Utilities + DRAC tools + AD Snap-in for ITA].- Thank you both. I do have the latest version now. I can't remember quite how I found the original download, but I know it was after watching the "demo" videos here that I went looking for "IT assistant"The video's, btw, are uncut and I believe to be substandard to public face that Dell is trying to put forth. Dell should strongly consider redoing them or just pulling them.
