VNC Server iDRAC
Hi all,
since I allready posted on two GitHub Communitys about this issue, I will try to keep this as short as possible. The GitHub Postings are added for reference at the end of the post.
Im trying to connect via VNC (native vncviewer from the OS - NOT the java implementation on the iDracs webinterface) to an iDrac8 Enterprise (DELL PE T130). This only works, when I turn of the encryption in the VNC-Server settings (iDRAC Settings - Services - VNC Server - SSL-Encryption "Disabled"). Since an unencrypted VNC-Server is a major security flaw in any network, the disabled-setting is not an option.
As soon as i turn the SSL encryption to anything other than disabled, the vnc clients (I tried varios clients on different operating systems) cannot connect to the iDrac.
Did anyone experience something similar, or even has the encrypted VNC Server working?
Issue at libvncserver: github.com/.../124
Issue at Remmina (my preferred RDP / VNC client :) : github.com/.../896
