I have received several XPS-10s and want to upgrade them to windows 8 enterprise from windows 8 RT. We have the media just cant work out how to boot from a usb successfully.
I am aware of the volume up and volume down keys however is there a way to access the BIOS? Any help is greatly appreciated.
It's not possible to upgrade. Windows 8 RT devices run on the ARM cpu architecture. All other Windows 8 versions are designed to run on the x86 Intel/AMD cpu architecture. They are totally incompatible with each other, they use completely different instruction sets.
Windows RT is ARM processor architecture and the only edition running on this platform. If you wish to use Windows 8 enterprise, the only way is to acquire a Latitude 10 ST2 with Intel Atom x86 processor and upgrade from Windows 8/pro to enteprise release, as long you are entitled to do so by your MS enteprise agreement.
