In the All Hosts Dashboard, how do I add number of users on a server? (come to think of it how do I add this metric to most of the dashboards - as when monitoring RDSH servers this is much more important than network metrics)
I am using/configuring the Dell vWorkspace solution (sorry don't know if that is a specific cartridge) - but foglight is included with the licence and on the initial screen you can see the top 3 servers by user connection (under the RDSH Heading), so it must be a metric that is available. Thus how do I display it on the All Hosts tab.
I did a bit of checking internally. The all hosts dashboard is built in a specific way/purpose that it may not be easy to modify.
The easiest here may be to just create a drag and drop dashboard, if you create a dashboard you can look at the data for Virtual Desktops and drag the main node and choose session count
Thanks for this and yes it does create a basic looking table with some of the data required, however as a dashboard it is not what I was hoping for and to get it that far, looks like it needs some serious coding, which is above my understanding at present.

Drew,
Unfortunately the VMWare and OS cartridge do not collect the number of connected users.
If this metric is something that one can get with a command line interface you can try to script it and get the data to Foglight.
