Time Finder Snap Replication
Can we replicate TF Snap devices ( VDEV ) to a remote VMAX using SRDF . We want to get away from tape backups and want to enable snapshots on a daily basis , but needed to check if we can transfer those snapshots to a remorte location as well using SRDF

take snapshot at one time and replicate it at later time.

OP wants to use VDEV as R1, not create snapshot R1 itself.

why would you want to do it? why not replicating the source itself to remote using srdf and then taking its snap at R2?

SNAP target can be R1 but with loads of restrictions. SRDF createpair and est is only allowed if SNAP session is in restored state or term in progress.
In simple words "its not allowed"
