I have a vnx5700 and im trying to runs commands but for some reason it wont let me. I was told to install navisphere cli, but I checked and it is installed. Below is the out put of what I get. can someone please help me and explain in details what I need to do? I can log into gui and able to ping the ip address that im using in cli.
first imiage is showing that I have navishpere installed and the second is showing when I try to run commands.
naviseccli enables you to run block commands from remote hosts and the cs against arrays/sp's, not directly to the local Control Station ip's.
Run that same command from your workstation or if you want to run it from the Control station, ensure you target one of the SP ip addresses,
If you want to run commands from the Control Station, they must be the file based CLI or the naviseccli cmds against the sp ip addresses (not control station)
when you say do a "grep SP /etc/hosts" I should run the following command naviseccli -h -user -password -scope 0 storagegroup -list grep sp /etc/hosts? If not than can you please tell me the correct command with the grep in it?
