I'm having a stange problem that perhaps someone else has encountered and has a resolution too. The senario is as follows:-
I have published an application executable using the "program" application type, this application functions without issue on windows operating systems however on a MAC the application launches OK and then fails with a message which would indicate there is no working directory for the application.
If I change the published application from program to desktop then the application functions OK on the MAC
Am i missing something here?
MAC Snow Leopord is used with vWorkspaceConnectorforMacOSX_70 client
I can confirm that Notepad.exe functions OK, the error returned after logon to the application i'm publishing is "URL not specified"
This application error indicates that the configuration file (found in the same directory as the executable) is not being read, I have confirmed that the configuration file is ignored by changing the login behavior type to integrated logon which would bypass the username and password screen, it's not bypassed and the username and password screen is still displayed.
Yes thats correct the windows client reads the configuration file, MAC client does not.
I am using the working directory option as without this it does not work on the windows client either. Do you have any examples of how I could use the argument to load the supporting files required for operation or is that application specific?
There is a further configuration option that we could try, however it invovles a registry modification so I would prefer to make this change over a webex or telephone call. Is it possble you could open a support case, then I can make contact with you to look at this further.
Thank you for the logs. I have just sent you an email from the support case that was opened for this issue, hopefully you will already have seen it. If you have any further questions then please just reply to that email.
