100% CPU Usage
Watching a movie or using a photo-editing program (such as PSP8) causes my computer to run at 100% CPU and then shut down. Any suggestions on how to have these programs take up less CPU so I can edit a photo without the computer turning off?

PSP8 takes less that 10% of CPU cycles when it is running. The excessive use on your system may be due to spyware. Download Ad-aware from here and Spybot from here. Check online for updates to their databases then run them and delete all the spyware they identify.
