    The only Latitude CP drivers Dell has in their library are the NeoMagic drivers from 1999.  You might also consider posting your question over in the Latitude - Video forum as you would probably get a better answer there.

    Here is a link to those drivers:

    I have a Dimension XPS B100r with an UltraScan P991 monitor.

    Because my file system became corrupted, I had to re-install Windows 98 SE.  When I got the system running again, the display was in 640 x 480 resolution.  I tried to change the resolution in Control Panel but was unable to do so.

    I tried to use the UltraScan P991 Color Monitor Quick Setup CD to install a new driver.  (Control Panel said that it was looking for a new driver for the device "800M.")  I told it to look on the CD, and it said that the best driver was currently installed.

    I have been unable to find a driver for the P991 Monitor.  Any suggestions?

    DaveJS,

    What you need to install is the driver for your video adapter (graphics card). You are presently running your system with Winodows' default VGA driver which limites your resolution to 640 x 80.

    Denny,

    As I indicated in my original posting, I have been unable to find a driver for the UltraScan P991.  I have checked all the CD's which came with the system and also Dell downloads.  Do you have any idea where I might find one?

    As Denny said,  you need a driver for your video card (also called a graphics card or video adapter).  The driver for your monitor will not solve the problem.  The drivers for the video card can be found at:

    http://support.dell.com/filelib/Devices.aspx?Category=6&OS=W98++&OSL=EN&SvcTag=&SysID=DIM_PNT_P03_XPS_B___

    You will have to look at your invoice or log in to the Dell Support site with your Service Tag and click on "Original Configuration" in order to figure out which of these video cards you have on your system.

    Denny and Steve,

    Sorry.  I wasn't paying attention.  I have downloaded and installed the proper video card driver and am now able to get higher resolution.  Thanks much for your help.
