add/remove function not running

I have a 4500 running xp.When trying to uninstall or modifying programs. Program does not open.

Hesitant enter the registry not sure where the problem lies

Any ideas?

Do you mean that when you click "Remove" nothing happens?

First thing to check is do you have any program/antivirus running which monitors the registry?

Such a program will not allow you to uninstall as it would change keys in the registry
