Dimension 8400

 

Cannot boot into Windows XP. I get a blue screen saying BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO Stop 0x000000074 (0x000000003 0x000000002 0x80088000-0xC)

 

Google posts point to bad memory but diagnostics say it is good.

 

I believe it is a corrupt registry.

 

I've tried to do a chkdsk but cannot get into the recovery consul because setup will not recognize the cd-rom.

 

I did diagnostics on the hardware and all passed.
