Blocked Software Due to Unknown Publisher

When surfing the web very frequently I receive the following message "Windows has blocked this software because it can't verify the Publisher."  It is always the same item that is shown "swflash.cab"
Any suggestion as to how I can resolve this problem will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Bill

Have you scanned your system for spyware?

Scan with Spybot. The sites that come up with the error are probably sites that have flash ads. (Macromedia Shockwave)

Do you have Macromedia Flash installed?

I have scanned with Spybot and windows continues to block software due to unknown publisher. As

far as I can ascertain I beleive that you are correct and that it is flash ads that are being blocked.

Yes I do have Macromedia Shockwave installed on my computer, but I do not completely understand your reference to Macromedia FLASH. Any additional suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank,

I reinstalled Macromedia Flash and it seems that the ads previously being blocked are now working OK. Thanks for your help.
