I was hearing a strange noise with my computer.  Thinking it was one of my 2 hard drives I tried disconnecting them (one at a time) and re-booting.  Turns out it was the fan on my video card.

Now when I reboot I get a message to reboot from a CD.  I reboot, hit F12 and go to the boot menu.  There I am able to select my boot drive and everything is fine.  I am unable to figure out how to return my C: drive to the default.
