Cannot remove Spyware
My security programme identified a spyware infection in my vostro 1700, it's location is reported as C:\Dell\Drivers\R188840\ DIAGS\sed.exe, any atempt to disinfect it results in a blue screen and an immediate shutdown, the spyware is called Look2me, any ideas how to get rid of it safely, or is it even spyware?
I would run another scan with another virus scanner. This could be a false hit. The file that it id's is in a Dell driver directory.

Message Edited by Davet50 on 10-11-2008 04:21 PM- L2M has not been around in years -- long before Vista. That is why the removal instructions posted above do not include Vista.
I'm sure it is a False Positive.
sed.exe was used as one of many files in L2M. It is also used in legitimate applications.
Do not remove that file!!!
