@fireberd dos based mean it doesn't have built in installed windows but i have to purchase myself windows for my system. and i have purchased win 7 64 bit for it and now i want to install all the software which are built in in dell inspiron n5110 laptop
If you purchased the system with no software or only DOS then that is what comes with your system. If you purchased it with Windows 7 then you would get the other software.
I am not Dell, but that is what appears is applicable.

If you have a DOS based system, the Windows software won't run under DOS.
