Defrag

Windows defrag suddenly does not work. Didn't do anything different than usual.

Have Windows XP Home w\ SP2. Has anyone else had this problem?

Your help would be appreciated, thank you.

Running Chkdsk /F sometimes corrects this by correcting disk errors. You will have to reboot to allow it to run. Answer Yes when asked for permission to run at next boot, then reboot.

Thank you Mary G for your response. I found the ptoblem. I mistakenly disabled the DCOM Server Process Launcher.
