Deleting Previous Owner Not Renaming

My sister just inherited her husbands computer (he died in a fatal car accident).  Instead of her renaming the owner she created a new owner (with her name) and now there appears to be a folder with his name as the owner which has all the windows files, his downloads, pictures, etc. .  This is a huge file and when we attempt to delete it I get a message that it is too big for the recycle bin.  Can anyone tell me how to delte his files etc.  I could reformat but which to try something else first.

He also has a program called folderlock on there that is password protected and we do not know the password.  Can anyone help us to unlock that folder???

Thanks

    skmerrow,

There are a couple of things you can try for removing the old account. One is to take ownership of the files and folders in the account using the procedure here and deleting the contents incrementally, emptying the Recycle Bin after each deletion.

The other is to right-click the Recycle Bin in Windows Explorer, choose Properties, and on the tab for a partition use the slider to increase the size of the recycle bin. Then delete the account.
