My stepdaughter's Dimension 3000 blew the motherboard. I have replaced it with a Dell board from an aftermarket supplier. The "Dimension 3000" board turned out to be a DE051 system which I believe is a dimension 1100 system.

The system will not currently boot from the HD(I believe the MBR/Boot sector is corrupt-disc is physically OK) or the OEM xp disc.

My question:  Will the Dell OEM xp disc allow me to do a clean install on this new board?

the disc is for a Dimension 3000.
