Embassy Vs IE 7

Hi,
I have a Latitude D820 with Wave Embassy Security Suite preloaded and recently IE 7 installed itself while on Automatic Updating. Now the Embassy SS won't start and hangs at the splash screen. I searched Dell Support and found this page ( http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dsn/en/document?docid=2196C56F0EBB9E61E0401E0A55175F32&c=us&l=en&s=dhs) which describes my problem accurately.

However on clicking the link to download the software indicated, I found that it's actually a broken link. I went to my drivers and downloads site to get the software but I couldn't because Dell has not actually put up the A09 version, it still has the original, problematic version for download.

Can anyone tell me where the find the latest version?
SK

    Hi,
Thank you very much. I wonder how you got at that. But should I directly install the new app or uninstall the old one and then install this one?

I think I would install over top, I would not want to risk problems by uninstalling, the Dell download says nothing about removing first, nor does the Embassy Trust Suite site. Software installers are pretty good about informing you to uninstall first if required, so just run the installer.

http://www.wave.com/csc/ets-support/introduction.htm  the company that actually makes the software for Dell.

I downloaded and extracted the Dell driver and there is no documentation referring to uninstalling. So don't do it.

I too have the same notebook, d820, and same problem. However, with the new release the installation never finishes, it just stops . I check for program groups and nothing. I have checked everything to include turning OFF firewall, security allowed, disallowed, TPM, ETS you name it .

My unique situation is that I formatted the Notebook then installed Vista clean. Now I have a million orphaned files from Brodcom, STMicrosystems, and Upek.

All I want is the darn fingerprint reader to work like it did before VISTA. I was runing Protector Suite beautifully. Highly recommend that software. You can download the 5.6 version under the Toshiba section of UPEK.com , look for the tecra 400 model fingerprint reader, (it's actually the full working program of Protector suite.)

    Any help Please advise....
