error message

recently I tried to download a movie clip using quicktime;after downloading it I tried to open the zip file but I got an error message saying"the compressed file folder was corrupt " and it would not open--I tried sending it to a floppy disc but same thing--am running winxp sp 1 -any help is appreciated-henrye

    It really sounds like the file you downloaded is bad (corrupt).  Try downloading it again and if you still get the same message it's likely the file is bad.  Try downloading a different file and see if it's OK.
     
    Also, since it's a Quicktime file make sure it's for a Windows Operating System machine, not a mac.
