I just never realized how good Mozilla Firebird, then Firefox was. I always wondered: Why stop using IE, and losing the functionality that IE has? Then, I found out, Firefox is customizable (spelling?) and plug-ins can make Firefox (as well as other Mozilla products) as functional as IE. I know there are things that require IE, but Firefox has all of these extensions. My favorites include themes, adblock (you right-click on an image on a webpage, an block it from showing up)And there is a Javascript file that you can install to stop blinking text!!!(and marquees, if desired) Adblock only worked on images, not blinking text. I also have open with IE, book marks link checker, and etc. So, I like Mozilla Firefox because it is customizable. Took some work, but I pretty much got it the way I want it.
Each to his own, I suppose. I've tried several progressive versions of Firefox (including, the latest) and frankly, was less than overwhelmed. It quickly became apparent that if you really worked at it, applied the requisite tweaks & plugins and persevered long enough then, it's almost as functional as IE.
Of course, there are those who actually prefer not having full access to web content in the interest of "safety" and personal preference. For those persons, browsers with innate and/or easily disabled functions are attractive.
Variety is the spice of life. I enjoy a new interface and options as compared to looking at the same old browser, day in and day out. I change browsers frequently just to keep from getting bored.
I agree. I also use MyIE2 and fine it very capable with far more control then IE. I have them all on my machine and use them all when the mood strikes.
I use Mozilla and firefox and in firefox I don't have the download link target to disk thing in the right click. I have done searches on the net and have found no info if its a bug or I have a bad install.
Anyone else have this function in firefox 9.1? I love the mozilla stuff, and I am not a linux fan. I look forward to trying new things. I have a buffer computer that gets reinstalled from a ghosted back up and I use this system to test new stuff and once I test it, make sure its stable, and like it, it goes over to my work horse.
And so far I think the mozilla stuff is the best web brouser out there!

On mine it is called "Save link as" (in 0.9.2, which is just a patched version of 0.9.1)
on the earlier version, it was called "Save link to disk"
Yea when I try that one like downloading trailers at jurassicpunk.com it saves the file wrong and it cant be played. The download goes really fast as well like its saving an html page from a link and not the quicktime .mov trailers at 20 mb.
I wasn't dissing firefox. I love it and will continue to use it. I was just looking for an answer to my question so that I can stop looking to see if there is a fix somewhere.
