Losing all the icons. (I posted this post cause it appeared to be a widespread problem and I posted the update earlier and didn't want to be responsible for some bad installs. I set a restore point and did the install ok. However my system did not make an automatic RPoint so you may want to Create one manually to be safe. This update doesn't show up as installed if you run the MS qfecheck utility but it does in the registry. I'd run the SFC command before you update.)
i read some posts where some people had problems after installing the latest windows "critical update", but then later i read that some people did not have problems with it.. i went ahead and installed it, and i don't notice any difference; i am not having any problems with it (that i am aware of).. i am using win xp-home.

I had a problem with the KB832483 update today. Didn't notice it until I attempted to open a jpg with Photosuite. Received a "routing liquid not found" error message. Clicked ok and the jpg then opened. I played around with system restore going back and forth before and after the update. The best I can determine is that the update did cause the problem, since the error does not occur before the update, and no other system changes were made.
