It could be that the virtual memory is low. Here is some information that may help you pinpoint this issue.

F2 CMOS Setup BIOS BEFORE OS LOADS.

Ok i am a bit confused.  My dell has been fine for almost 2 years and was brand new top of the line and now this error starts and it is not a dell problem?

So i am to run cmos?  And then what do i do?

I have not had a blue screen.

No Os version??    Amount of ram listed in Bios??  The error is not complete enough to venture a remedy.

Thank you for the direct questions, I will most certainly give as thourough of answers when I can get home and try this on my desktop computer.  Please note that I have never used CMOS and would simply like to know what it is I do after I hit F2 on my computer.  If I don't know what to do, or look for, this will be pointless for me.

Listed as "BIOS Setup (F2)" on the top-right of your screen after powering on.

I am running Windows 7 and I believe there is 4 gigabytes of RAM installed.

What is the exact words of the error?

Blue Screen STOP error?

"Error: Not enough memory to complete the scan. Followed by Paused by System message."  is a not a dell problem.

Nor is it a windows 7 problem.

Solution

According to the Release Notes, the product is only supported
on the following platforms:

Windows 2003 SP2 (64-bit)
Windows 2003 R2 (64-bit)
Redhat Enterprise Linux 5.4 (64-bit)
