Problem with Media Direct Button

I formatted my machine and now my media direct button is acting wierd. Everytime I press it, it loads windows XP. I tried the repair that dell had on their support page and it didnt do anything. Please help! I want to be able to use the media button to watch DVD's without it loading windows XP

    I'm having the same problem. And the software for Media Direct wasn't included with my laptop. Can someone please help out?

    you were supposed to dload the tool and create bootable cd from .iso by burning as image then bootign toit.. and creatign a partition about 3 gigabtytes then it would instlal mediadirect to that partition then install xp in other partition. to fix it now.. youll have to resize current ntfs partition 3gb less. then use bootable cd to install mediadirect.
