re-installing xp

I have my old pc which I want too re-install xp onto it, I want to do this before I sell the pc I have the restore cd. Do I need to erase something? first before using the restore cd? not sure can not find any info on this. if it really maters it is an e-machines T1840

    it is a restore cd that came with the system, which delete software do you suggest on the link you provided and thanks

    If the computer has a restore CD rather than a reinstallation CD for Windows XP you can simply restore the computer to the state it was in when you received it. If you are concerned about personal information remaining on the hard disk you can erase the disk before you restore the system with one of the freeware programs here.
