record now

Hi,
 
I tried buring a dvd with record now (3.6g of data),
I choose my folder with all my files in it , click on record (the button is red, but when the mouse goes over it turns yellow. Is that normal ?)
 
Tells me 50 minutes, then quickly jumps to 25 minutes a couple of seconds later, and  seems to record fine, then ejects the dvd-rw, and appears to function properly.
 
However when I put the dvd back in the reader, it is empty.
I tried erasing the dvd and starting over, but same thing.
 
What am I missing ?

    I haven't used the Rewriteable feature in Record Now because I don't think it's very reliable, but when I did use it on another computer with Adaptec DirectCD, I recall that you have to format the cd-rw disk before recording on it. You didn't mention that, so I'm wondering if you formatted the disk? But I also recall getting a message to that effect when inserting the disk.

    When I use Record Now with a CD or DVD and press the red "burn" button, it starts to burn. I've never moused over it to notice if it changed colors.

    Thanks for you answer. With Adaptec DirectCD you did need to format it but with record now, you don't. I have used record now with other PC's and it worked fine. That is why I am a bit confused here.

    I found my problem, there was a hidden file, and I have the hidden files hidden.
    I deleted the hidden file, now all work well
