I have an inspiron 1100, with windows xp.  recently installed software for hp photosmart C4280 all-in-one printer.  when trying to access the HP Image Zone page, an error message comes up that prevents me from accessing it.  the error message reads "An outgoing call cannot be made since the application is dispatching an input-synchronous call".  huh?!  I contacted Hp for support and they forwarded me to a microsoft fix for an automation error (-2147417843).  it says I should avoid making outgoing automation calls during the taskbar notification area callback.  I had no idea I was trying to make an outgoing automation call.  it also says i should copy some information from a Visual Basic 5.0 or 6.0 CD-ROM, which I do not even have!  Would appreciate anyones help on this.  Because of this problem I cannot even use this new printer!
