stand by mode problem

System wont come out of the stand by mode, it hangs and we have to switch off the computer to restart everytime, please some one help me

Is the computer a desktop? If so, don't use standby or hibernation. These functions are designed for laptops and will more than likely cause problems on desktops. Need proof? Simply do a search on this forum.

yes it is a laptop, i did search in this forum also, couldnt find any answer

Sorry it's not working for you. I don't understand why this feature is still so buggy. I hear Vista is supposed to correct these problems.
