Start Up Trouble
Been out for the night & now trying to start my machine up. Hit the power button, blue light comes on. Fan starts up and all I get is the Dell screen with F2 = setup and F12 = boot menu in the top right and the intel logo in bottom right. The machine shut down as normal before I went out and no other problems I noticed. Have tried to start about 6 times and same thing. Please help.... Thanks Col

Problem sorted.........rang DellI had everything unplugged from system except for keyboard (as per dell site instructions) but the Dell techo got me to unplug power cable, hold start button in for 10 secs and the nplug back in & boot.BINGO!!! (such a simple solution for what seemed a serious problem)Still not sure why it didnt boot in the first place, shut down ok last night. Dell techo said by doing what he advised get rid of any excess electricity within motherboard.Will know next time I guess lolAnd a big tick for helpful Dell techo :smileyhappy:Col- I'm not sure why this happens or what causes it. My D9100 would not boot when I first plugged it in. While talking to India (and waiting!!) I discovered the same cure on my own - I had a lot of time. I wonder if it's some sort of static problem that's cured when you bleed off the motherboard.
