System Restore Problem
I am trying to restore my Dimension 8400 XP SP2 MCE to an earlier state but each
time I receive the same error message "Your computer cannot be restored to....."

I have tried 16 different days of back restores without success. Any help is appreciated.

I figured that might be my only way out and after hearing your reasoning it was confirmed. I can handle it from here and appreciate your prompt reply and right-on-the-mark suggestions.

It appears that all your restore points are corrupt. The only solution is to disable System Restore, reboot, then re-enable System Restore. This will purge all of your old restore points, but it is a moot point anyway, since none of them work.
