VIEWING FILE TYPES
I am using Inspiron 1520 with Windows XP. When i select a windows folder then TOOLS/Folder Options/File Tyes an error message is displayed saying "Windows has encountered an error and has to close". windows then freezes and i have to use ctrl+alt+del to end the running task, I have searched google but cannot find any help.
Anyone else experience this? If so is there an easy solution?

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
Boot to the Windows XP disk and choose the Repair option. Follow the steps below.
Perform a Repair Install
