No Audio
No Audio Output Device Installed
I'm hoping someone out there will be able to assist me
I have a Dell XPS 7590 laptop (64 bit, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz, 16GB Ram, Windows 10 Home Version 21H1) which I bought 18 months ago
running Windows 7, 64-Bit, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD.
The laptop was working well without any problems. However, around a month ago the audio simply stopped working.
The speaker icon is showing a Red "X", and when I hover the mouse over it, a message of "No Audio Output Device Installed" appears.
Working with computers a lot, I know my way around, so I then went to Device Manager to look for any faults. I looked under the "Sound, Video and Game Controllers" and found under the "System Devices" Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) Audio Controller & Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) OED both of which state "This device is working properly". Both say I have the latest driver installed.
One of the things I've tried was to go into the "Services" section and both "Windows Audio" and "Windows Audio Endpoint Builder" are running.
Can anyone advise anything else to try?

Yes, I have tried those drivers (along with others that I've been recommended)
Sorry about the Windows 7 confusion ( my OS is Windows 10 Home Version 21H1)

Have you tried the drivers here which are the Realtek drivers? And I have no idea what the Windows 7 reference was for. Can I assume that you are not running Windows 7?
