XPS 9575 Bios Update
Hello, would someone confirm if the recent 1.1.1 bios update is infact newer than the previous 1.2.0 update? Numerically, it doesn't make sense. The previous older versions are 1.1.7 and 1.1.9 respectively. I'm not sure if I should install 1.1.1 over the current 1.2.0.

The update reads as urgent and lists several priority security updates. If this is a newer update, then I want to update to it to address the security vulnerabilities that are repaired under the update.
As such, a clear answer from Dell would be great.

It is an old update, Dell made a mistake. After installing it AIDA64 tells me that the BIOS internal date is from April 2018. Version 1.20 is the latest version.

Around a week ago, I was told by Dell Tech Support that this is a rollback because the 1.2.0 is unreliable under win 10 version 1809. In fact, I was having sound problems (the same that are described in some posts) and as part of the solutions I was told to install 1.1.1
Please take into account that what I am quoting are the words of one Tech Support representative.
On the other hand, having rolled back, for a couple of days the web based driver update utility asked me to update the 1.2.0. BIOS version but today it does not anymore.
Where does the truth lie ?
Do you think it is too much to receive an official Dell guideline ?1892

It looks like as of today they've listed 1.2 as the latest BIOS version, again. It would be nice to get a clear answer. FYI, I'm running a Windows Insider Build, version 1903. The 1.2 BIOS seem very stable.1737

I have win 10 version 1809. I have a lot of problem with the touchpad (freez, random click etc...). I contacted the Dell support and told me to try yo use the bios 1.1.1.
With this version of bios the touchpad is ok.
If i try to install last bios 1.2.0 the problem returns.

Unless you see a fix that addresses a problem you are having, I would stay with the version you have now. It could be an error in numbering the version. And I would bet that when you install 1.1.1, Dell update will prompt you to install 1.2.0 again.
