I have this exact same problem, did you solve it ever?

After searching forums all over and going through Alienware tech support for nearly a weak we couldn’t fix it. I still don’t know what it was but I just had to get a new keyboard. I got the same one and haven’t had any issues, I’m guessing the wires or something somehow got damaged or a circuit. 
but no it wasn’t solved and I just replaced it.

I also have the same problem, but it seems to be isolated to the machine it is connected to. I have a powered KM switch (Keyboard Mouse, no Video) I run it through and it only happens when I switch it to my work laptop. I cannot install the Alienware software on the work laptop (a Dell I5 Windows 10 Enterprise build 19044.2604 Windows feature experience pack 120.2212.4190.0) because it is not approved by my IT manager, but I suspect that is what the problem is, or the issue would also happen when connected to my Alienware M15-R6. Any fixes, work arounds, suggestions?

I have the same issue.  Keyboard disconnects briefly and then reconnects.  I notice the disconnection in 2 ways: 1) Blue backlighting turns off and then will resume with the "Power Up" lighting sequence. 2) Keyboard press will randomly start repeating.  It could be any key and I'll get non-stop repetition until I hit other keys to stop it.  If I don't stop it, the random keypress continues to occur.   So, i'll be typing and suddenly get thissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss as an example.  Anyone having these issues?  I'm using the keyboard with my Alienware M16R1 AMD Laptop.

@colpliscol​ I have this problem, using an alienware m15r3, blue backlight turns on/off between 3 and 5 minutes interval, any fix or workaround to share?

@JCPabon​ Unfortunately, no.  I spent some time with Dell Tech Support and they suggested replacing the keyboard and sent me a brand new one.  The same issues continue to occur, so it looks like it isn't the keyboard, but something in the laptop or drivers. 

@HopWorksEmbedded​ I'm getting this exact same behaviour with very similar components (powered Dell kvm monitor, work-controlled Dell Latitude 5550, and Alienware R15). 

Very frustrating since I assumed having all Dell components would make things more compatible  :-(

I've been having the same issue as of recently. I have a KVM switch it's connected to and it works perfectly fine on my Non Dell/Alienware laptop but when I swap it over to the desktop (Aurora R16) it starts causing issues. I thought it was my mouse as well but I remember that my mouse is connected to the keyboard meaning the keyboard alone is shutting off and restarting randomly. None of the power management stuff helps either. Figured if it was the switch then the monitors would also go black but they don't so I have no idea at this point.
