Hi Guys, I already have an Area51 R5 fresh new, but, becouse of I really Love the A51 desktop I had a splendid idea to build my personal Area51 desktop, so, I bought the Chassis from ebay that arrived real empty, just the chassis without drive/boards/cables. Then I bought the used parts that I could find in the web:
- LOGO BOARD is the 8248K (think is from R1 or R2 version)
- I/O BOARD is the CN-0H6HK9 (so, is R2 version)
- Slot-In CD/DVD is the GS30N (from DELL XPS)
- all the cables (PORCH_LIGHT1, USB3_FIO1, ODD1, LOGO1, POGO_IN_L1 ecc ecc... all the cables listed in dell service manual)

Then my configuration:
- Motherboard: Asrock Z270 professional gaming i7
- CPU Intel i7 6700 with NZXT kraken x31 cooling pump
- RAM 16gb DDR4 Corsair
- WIndows 10 Pro 64 microsoft store full license
- SSD 500gb
- HDD 1TB
- PSU 1000w

All is setting up and connected, all the header ports, all the connector, all the boards are connected (only two temp. sensor cables remain disconnected).
So Let's GO, Plug in the power plug and the first strange thing that i notice is the Alien logo power button that is lighting up with rgb led rotating colors. ok! strange but, OK!!!
Next step, Power on the desktop pressing the alien power botton, clearly, no side panel led light is turning on, just the logo button remain turned on with rotating color, (I thought..) becouse there are no alienFX driver yet installed of course.
Next step, installing all the OS stuff...NET frameworks, flashplayer, windows update, build 1803 ecc...
Next step, installing AWCC 4.8.25.0, in according with this Dell Guide, showing that the last AWCC version for R2 hardware sems to be this 4.8.25.0
Next step, installing ODD_MSI_W10_A00_Setup_Y23MC_ZPE.exe in according with R2 hardware.
Reboot.
This is the situation, and ask your help to find solution:
- the button eject of the odd, don't do nothing... the MSI_ODD service, under windows services is running in automatic mode, but the button pulse under software side sems not be recognized, the "software eject" under windows explorer function very well. the cable odd1 is connected correctly from back button to i/o board. The AWCC 4.8.25.0 function well, i can change color and other stuff with alienfx. the only bad thing is that logo board remain ON always, also after powering off the pc. The second is that the side panel leds wont switch on with desktop power on, I have to unplug and re-plug one of the two side panel for leds recognization. I tried change color via software or switch on/off the "dark/hide" rapid function for switch on/off the alienfx led... but the side panels wont turn on, i have to unplug and replug one of them for turning on the leds.
Front usb, sdhc card, audio jack and microphone work very well, so the i/o board sems to be integrated well.
Those are the two problem:
1) the odd button wont eject the discs
2) the side panels leds wont turn on with pc power on, only after unplugged one of the panels, and the logo led remain on always since power plug in.

Any good crazy ideas :D im ready for any test.
