Area-51 R5, U.2 SSD compatibility
I received my new Area-51 R5 this week and I've been trying to install a U.2 SSD. I have a Micron 9300 SSD (3TB), that works just fine on another machine I have, but when I install it on my R5 it's not recognized by either the BIOS or Windows 10. I can't find any info on how to enable these devices with the R5.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Dave

U2 is SAS not sata. U.2 (SFF-8639) vs SATA 7+15 M.2 SSD
Requires adapter/controller if you want to use.
U.2 is applied for NVMe SSDs in 2.5" format SFF-8639

Standard SATA motherboards DO NOT SUPPORT U2 SAS Drives.
SFF 8482 port to a SAS compatible SATA controller (hybrid controller).
A converter board might work.
