Actually I think the flagship is rumored to be the 3090, which requires 3 x 8 pin power cables (instead of the previously rumored new 12 pin).

The 1000w psu option should satisfy that aspect, your other limitation is physical - size, you'll need to find one thay fits in the small aurora case.  Info on size is not available yet but you can expect a range of designs of different sizes.

Man have I been waiting for the RTX 30xx release.

I couldn't wait any more, and upgraded my Aurora R5 GTX 970 to the Aurora R11 RTX 2070 Super (i9 10900k) a month ago, with the idea of upgrading to the RTX 3080 when released. (so much better!)

The R11 has (2) 8-pins available for the GPU, so the 3080 should be fine as it should only need 2.  If the 3080ti needs (3) then ?.

Also, I would think a blower-style would be the best choice?  To vent the hot air out of the back of the case, rather than an open fan design that will dump the hot air into the case.

I’m considering getting the R11 with 2080 Ti. Then either getting another 2080 Ti as it should be cheaper by then or upgrading to the 30 series. But guess we need to wait and see if it is 2 pin on Sept 1st to know this?

Also if I did add another 2080 Ti would it need to be identical to the existing Alienware card? Or as long as it has 2 pins, can it be any card? Also, I’m having trouble finding anywhere that sells 2080 Ti blower cards. Nightmare.

The 500w psu option has two 8pin (or equivalent) connectors. 

The 1000w psu option has four 8pin (or equivalent) connectors. 

Going by techpowerup.com they have dimensions of the 3080 which if are correct at 267mm in length it will fit the r11 case ok as I measured it to take up to a max 280mm before it hits the front case fan. However the flagship 3090 is supposedly around 308mm so it will be to long for the case, unless remove the front case fan but don’t think that would be recommended.
