Default Alienware motherboard with i7-11700KF, RTX 3060 Ti. So I installed OC driver and AWCC, but I cannot get the 'Advanced' tabs under CPU for some reason? I also don't see an option in my BIOS for Intel Boost Technology, despite it saying it's on with Intel Extreme Utility tuner.
So how do I go about overclocking my CPU? Do I have to manually set up a custom OC profile in the BIOS? If so, what would safe options be to do that? I want to get at least 4.5MHz instead of being capped at 3.6MHz.
So under thermal settings, I went to top fan/front fan and put both on 45% for the offset. That didn't do anything. So I clicked the chain thing and clicked whatever profile was in that library. I'm not sure if that applied the ones I put or not. But my top fan is at 57% speed, and front fan at 47% speed. Running 69-70 degrees while playing Rust. That's good or nah?
Yes I have overclock feature enabled and yes I'm Overclock 1.
Now my only other question at this point is, is it normal for the voltages to fluxuate so much? Like from 0.8V to 1.45 -- Here's an gyazo gif of it. --
Ultimately, I'm trying to prevent it from hitting 1.45Voltage entirely. Hence why I tried setting it to 1.285V by default. I wanted it to at most hit 1.3V. The fact it fluxuates to 1.45/1.5 seems like a reason to worry.
There doesn't seem to be a way to lock it to 1.3 Voltage, and even when I changed voltage to 1.285V for OC 1 and then the default -50 mV, it still jumps to 1.5V for some reason. I would have imagined that means it caps at 1.285V ?
Well I would start a new overclock profile and not mess with the factory Overclock1. When Do my cpu overclock profile to say like 4.99ghz right on the edge of green I test and save and name that profile I never have to mess with the voltage that is way to advance for me. Voltage will fluctuate !
