17 R3, not starting

Hi. I own an Alienware 17 R3 (2015) model. It has started with an issue now. It is not starting. I tried the power drain but still no response from laptop. The charger light is turning off when I connect it with the laptop. Is there any short circuit? Can anyone help me please?

The center pin seems to be fine. I will check with other chargers and will let you know. The main concern is that I'm from India and I don't know whether I could get my hands on an Alienware motherboard since the laptop is from December 2013 and was bought from USA.

Check the DC jack on the laptop and make sure that the centre pin is not broken or bent. Usually the light going off when you connect the adapter means either a jack problem or a problem with the motherboard itself. If possible try another adapter to see if the problem persists.

The problem persist. I called the tech support and they said it is the reverse current issue and the motherboard needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, the laptop is more than 4 years old and they don't have any motherboard inventory for it globally. So effectively, I'm stuck with a dead laptop even after paying a premium price.
